Why we ask for this separately
Your child is a minor, and many of our students are under 13. US law requires a parent's verifiable consent before an online service collects personal information from a child under 13. We ask for it here, once, at the moment you create the account, and we record it.
What you are consenting to
By creating a student account you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and that you consent to the following:
- We create a sign-in account for your child using the email address you provide and the password you choose.
- We collect and store your child's first and last name, email address, grade, and school.
- Your child's mentor writes and stores a project title, a timeline of checkpoints, a to-do list, records of meetings, and their own notes about those meetings.
- Your child can sign in to see that information, tick off their to-do items, book sessions, and open the resources we have curated.
- Sessions may be recorded, but only after everyone present is asked at the start of that meeting and agrees.
What your child cannot do
Your child cannot change billing, see payment details, create further accounts, message other families, upload files, or make anything public. There is no chat, no forum, and no public profile in this product.
What you keep
You see everything your child sees. You may at any time review what we hold about your child, correct it, stop us collecting anything further, or require deletion — by writing to hello@passionprojects.app.
Withdrawing consent means we close your child's account. We will tell you plainly what that means for the rest of your subscription, and refund anything unused if the service can no longer be provided.
