For students
Turn up, or tell your mentor you cannot. Be kind to the other students on a group call — everyone is at a different point and nobody is behind.
The work you hand in should be yours. Using a tool to help you understand something is fine; handing in something you did not write is not, and your mentor will notice.
For parents
Mentors are high school and university students. They will reply to you, but not instantly and not late at night. If something is urgent, write to hello@passionprojects.app.
Check-ins are the place for concerns about progress: they are yours to meet the mentor one-on-one, and any leftover time is your child's, with the mentor, for the project. Please do not join your child's own one-on-one sessions unless you have agreed it with the mentor first — students speak differently when a parent is in the room.
For mentors
The two rules in the mentor rulebook apply to every session. Beyond those: keep family information to yourself, keep to the twenty-four hour rescheduling notice, and escalate anything about a student's safety to a founder immediately rather than handling it alone.
When we step in
We may suspend or end an account over behaviour that puts a student, a mentor, or another family at risk. We will say why.
